Wine of the Month Club: Zonnebloem Lauréat Red Blend 2012
It’s time once again for wine of the month club! For the past month the WomenStuff team has tried loads of wines all in the name of research and now we are finally ready to introduce you to our favourite wine for the month of May. Say hello to Zonnebloem’s Lauréat Red Blend 2012!
This outstanding Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is Zonnebloem’s flagship red and offers wine lovers maturation potential of between 5 -8 years. The wine can be enjoyed with rich meaty dishes such as stews, steaks, game meats, roasts as well as hearty cheeses.
This enticing red is characterised by aromas of ripe plums, berries and dark chocolate followed by oak spice and hints of tobacco. It’s a very well-balanced wine with juicy, yet firm tannins.
