You Can Now Enjoy Floating High Tea on a Barge in Cape Town!

There are loads of restaurants and hotels in Cape Town serving High Tea in but none of which are yet to serve it on-board a boat! A first in Cape Town, The Alba is a 22m, floating fine dining restaurant offering excellent food and a unique cruise experience around the V&A Waterfront harbour. While enjoying a multi-course fine dining menu onboard the barge sounds like a dream, it’s Alaba’s oh-so-different High Tea Cruise that really caught our eye.
Alba’s High Tea Cruise takes place every Saturday from 16:00 to 17:30 and gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a decadent treat on the high seas. At R495 per person, guests can expect a glass of bubbly on arrival as well as a selection of sweet and savoury eats and treats including gourmet open sandwiches, milk tart, churros and cheesecake. Coffee and tea is also served during the High Tea.
While cruising around the harbour in the fully glass-enclosed barge, Alba’s guests can enjoy panoramic, breath-taking views of the Cape Town skyline, including sights like Table Mountain.
If High Tea isn’t your thing you can also join Alba for a Bubbly Brunch Cruise (Monday – Sunday, from 10:00 – 11:30), Lunch Cruise (Monday – Sunday, from 13:00 – 14:30), Sunset Cruise (Monday – Friday, & Sunday, from 16:00 – 17:30), or a Dinner Cruise (Monday – Sunday, from 19:00 – 21:00).
