Woolworths Releases Range of Premium Boxed Wine
Traditionally, when describing boxed wine, the word ‘premium’ doesn’t exactly spring to mind. But Woolworths is looking to change that with its exciting new range of ‘premium’ 2L boxed wines from some of South Africa’s top wineries. Forget the notion that a ‘papsak’ is for varsity students and philistines, Woolworths is making papsak classy again, and we’re kind of here for it.
But why this new love of boxed wine? In a press release sent out to the media, the retailer explained that the new range is its way of ensuring customers get the very best quality, value (and volume!) in times that they need it most. According to Woolworths, the new boxed wine range provides buyers with an affordable option as the price of a 2l box is equivalent to buying two bottles of wine, effectively giving the customer 500ml for free.
The impressive range of four premium 2L boxed wines, showcase exclusive collaborations with some leading South African wine brands. The wines in the range including Pierre Jourdan Tranquille Blush, Diemersal Sauvignon Blanc, Beyerskloof Pinotage, and Kleine Zalze Chenin Blanc.
A long-standing crowd favourite, Pierre Jourdan Tranquille Blush is a delicate and fresh salmon pink blush with fragrant aromas of lively strawberry and raspberry with a hint of citrus fruits. Deliciously versatile and elegant, this wine is the epitome of elegance.
