Winter 2015 Restaurant Specials in Joburg!
While the days are getting cooler in Joburg our wallets are also getting a little bit lighter. Joburgers love visiting the hottest restaurants in town and living in Joburg just wouldn’t be the same without a week chock-full of socialising. Alas, all that socialising can get a little bit expensive when you’re living it up three or more nights a week. Luckily for you, and your wallet the WomenStuff team has put together a list of winter restaurant specials in Joburg – with this list up your sleeve you’re bound to get a whole lot more socialising in at a fraction of the price.
1. Hard Rock Café – Nelson Mandela Square – Sandton
Burger and beer lovers will love this special from the legendary Hard Rock Café . The restaurant is offering diners a Rebel Legendary Burger (served on a toasted brioche bun with onions sautéed in Hansa Pilsener) and a Hansa Pilsener beer for just R129. The special starts on 1 May 2015.
2. Beluga – Waterfall Corner, Midrand
Beluga’s famous sushi, dim-sum and cocktail special has been carried over to their Joburg restaurant and allows diners to indulge in half-price sushi, dim-sum and cocktails Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 19:00 and all day on Sunday. Make sure you also check out their Blue Plate, Yellow Plate and Green Plate sushi platter specials.
3. Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel’s Outdoor Bar and Sun Deck – Sandton
Sushi lovers can also take advantage of the sushi and cocktail special at The Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Sandton. Relax next to the pool and indulge in a sushi platter for one and a glass of bubbly for just R95. The bar also offers 2-for-1 cocktails every Thursday and Friday from 16:00.
4. The Bull Run – Protea Hotel Balalaika, Sandton
The Bull Run is one of the top steak and grill restaurants in Joburg and we absolutely love that they have specials for every day of the week. On Mondays tuck into a Grilled T-bone Steak for just R135; Tuesdays indulge in the Sirloin and Prawn Combo for just R145; on Wednesday enjoy a Double Bull Run Burger for just R125 and on Friday treat yourself to a full portion of Pork Ribs for R125. They also run specials on Thursday and Saturday. If you love the sound of the specials but don’t know which day to visit on then head through on a Sunday as they run all the specials for the week throughout the day!
5. Gourmet Garage – Montecasino, Fourways
Gourmet Garage is known for their epic burgers so make sure you don’t miss out on their Monday Madness Special this winter. Tuck into a delicious Gourmet Garage burger and fries for just R45 all day long. The special doesn’t include the super gourmet burgers but you can choose a burger from a special burger menu.
6. Carnivore Johannesburg – Muldersdrift
Carnivore is a meat-lover’s paradise! Head through for their Sunday lunch special and enjoy all sorts of game meat, freshly braaied right before your eyes as well as a selection of salads and desserts for just R215 per person and R115 per child. The lunch is an all-you-can-eat style meal and offers a dinning experience to remember!
7. Piza-e-Vino – Various branches in Joburg
Head through to your nearest Piza-e-Vino on Mondays and Tuesdays for their “One Twenty Nine & Two Can Dine” special and enjoy any two medium pizzas and two glasses of house wine for just R129. The offer runs all day.
8. Rodizio – Leaping Frog Shopping Centre, Fourways
The fabulously fun Brazilian restaurant offers a range of specials for diners to enjoy. Visit the restaurant for the set menu and get 10% Off on Tuesday night, 7.5% Off on Wednesday night, and 5% Off  on Thursday night. Set menus start from R190 per person (regular price) and include a range of meats, salads and deserts. The restaurant also offers an Uber special where guests who book a table or event at Rodizio receive a free Uber ride to the value of R200. Rodizio also offers a Sunday Buffet lunch at R185 per person every Sunday from 12:30 – 15:30.
9. The Makery.co.za –Â Henley-on-Klip
This tranquil estate in Henley-on-Klip is a fabulous place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. They’re also offering some stunning specials including a Tuesday night (18:30 – 22:00) Potjie Special at R85 per person, Thursday Pizza Special with pizzas R85 all day (plus you get a small pizza free!), the Bottomless Soup Special with a selection of 6 different soups on Thurday nights (18:30 – 22:00) at R65 per person, and a Sunday lunch Buffet every Sunday from 12:00 – 15:00 for just R125 per person.
10. Toni’s Fully Furnished Pizza – Craighall
Head through to Toni’s for their lunch time special and enjoy 3 pizzettes for the price of 2! The special runs from Tuesday to Friday between 12:00 and 15:30. The cheapest pizzette will be deducted from your bill.
