Wine of the Month: Jenny Morris Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2015 [Review]

After years of working as an Editor and writer for…
It’s time once again for wine of the month club! I was lucky enough to sample my fair share of wines over the past few months and now I’m back, ready to introduce you to my favourite wine for July 2016. Say hello to Perdeberg Jenny Morris Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2015. We love that Perdeberg has teamed up with South Africa’s favourite food personality, The Giggling Gourmet to bring us a deliciously different range of wines. In 2011 Morris became the very first South African to go global by being signed exclusively to Food Network to host her own shows on Dstv Channel 175 and now she is blazing a trail with Perdeberg to bring us a range of wines that are the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
Offering aromas of figs, asparagus, and fynbos cuttings on the nose and flavours of Canary melon, grapefruit, and squashed figs on the tongue, the Jenny Morris Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2015 is the perfect wine to enjoy on its own or with seafood, lightly flavoured pasta, or even a young goat’s cheese. And, if it’s one of Jenny’s dishes you’re after then her Prawn and Orange Salad is a real winner with this wine.
Jenny’s Prawn and Orange Salad was developed especially for this type of Sauvignon Blanc and you can find the full recipe here. You can also order the wine online from the Perdeberg online store at R33o for 6 bottles and have it delivered to your door – click here to shop now.
