Wine of the Month Club: FAT Bastard Pinot Noir Rosé 2017
It’s time once again for Wine of the Month Club! I have sampled some delicious wines over the past few months and now I’m back, ready to introduce you to my favourite wine for May 2018. Say hello to the FAT bastard Pinot Noir Rosé 2017. This new blushing bastard offers Rosé lovers a bold flavour with plenty of character. Here’s why it’s my pick for Wine of the Month Club this May.
This gorgeous salmon pink FAT bastard Pinot Noir Rosé 2017 is dry, yet smooth and creamy. Like the rest of the wines in the FAT bastard range, this varietal is a bold flavoured and full-bodied wine that is bursting with fruit. What’s more, it’s recently had a bit of a makeover – same wine, same large taste as before, but a brand-new look with a sophisticated pink blush label.
Made from carefully selected grapes grown in limestone-rich soils, this wine offers ripe sweet strawberry and watermelon aromas and a creamy palate made up of fresh summer berries, with a rather zippy finish. This is a wine to be enjoyed well chilled on its own or even with seared salmon, beef carpaccio, or BBQ beef ribs.
The FAT bastard Pinot Noir Rosé 2017 is widely available nationally and retails between R75 and R85.
