Wine Bar, Le Wine Chambre, Opens in Illovo
Joburg wine lovers are being truly spoiled this year, and it’s only March! First, the launch of Johannesburg Winery, Another stunning addition to the ever-developing city of Johannesburg, Gerakaris Family Wines and now a brand new wine bar in Illovo! Le Wine Chambre is indeed Illovo’s hottest new hangout and a must-visit for anyone who loves wine.
The bar is the brainchild of Joburg local, Walter Melato, and offers an extensive selection of fine local wines, as well as a handful of international blends. Melato, decided to follow his dream to open a wine bar after falling deeply in love with wine in 1998. He envisioned an open space in the heart of the city for people too enjoy a supreme selection of wine as well as appreciate it to the fullest extent.
Guests can choose to pop in for a casual glass or two (or three) or try out the special tastings to learn more about a specific type of wine. There’s also the option to pair a delicious assortment of tapas, prepared by talented head chef, Harold Saidi, with your wines if you’re feeling peckish.
