Comic Con Africa is just a few weeks away and as excitement for the big event grows, the organisers have announced that the event will be partnering with KFC for the next two years for the 2019 and 2020 events. As visitors, exhibitors, gamers, cosplayers and other fans prepare for Comic Con Africa 2019, this news couldn’t come at a more exciting time. The massive annual event sees the coming together of two cult brands that are known for defining pop culture. For five decades, KFC has been a massive part of South African culture serving millions of customers a month and so it is only fitting for us that KFC joins this unforgettable four-day line-up for Comic Con Africa 2019.
With over 60,000 guests expected to attend the four-day convention, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 21 – 24 September 2019 with over two hundred and fifty exhibitors, Comic Con 2019 will focus on all elements of pop culture, including cosplay, comic books, anime, manga, other creatives, film and series, games (including video and esports) and books and authors across six halls.
The festival will also feature a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements in animation, toys, gadgets, clothing, collectable card games, video games, webcomics, fantasy novels and the ever-popular Artists’ Alley.
What’s more, this year KidsCon will also join Comic Con Africa. Offering the most fun a kid can have in one hall and a perfect family day out with loads of activities to enjoy, KidsCon offers an unmissable event for little ones. A single Comic Con Africa ticket gets you access to both Cons at Gallagher Convention Centre, making it ideal for parents who want to attend the event on their own accord as well.
