We are Beyond Besotted with Ampersand Social Stationery!
It’s official this month my food budget is being reassigned to stationery! Seriously though, we needs fancy cheeses and iced teas when Ampersands Social Stationery is offering a wide range of cutesy notebooks, quirky pens, and so much awesome stationery? I am beyond besotted with this little stationery company and I’m quite sure when you see what they have available in store and on their online store you will be too!
Ampersand Social Stationery stands for travel, exploring, 1920s glamour, moonlit walks, champagne sunsets, lake house naps, fresh flowers, illustrations, cuddly-rainy-pancake days and all the other good things in life. If you’re a creative type who loves to scribble, jot and doodle then this place is nothing short of heaven! Owner, Lelanie Slater is a self-confessed stationery addict and decided to share her obsession with doodling, journaling, book-art, collaging and other stationery fueled love affairs with the rest of South Africa so that they too might be inspired by the creativity beautiful stationery inspires.
Ampersands Social Stationery sells their wares through their stand-alone store in Linden Johannesburg (a must-visit if you you’re in Joburg!) and of course, through their online store. The store in Linden and the online store offers a wide range of stationery goodies as well as larger products like the absolutely stunning Skinny laMinx range of scatter cushions, soft buckets, coin purses and prints as well as a beautiful range of natural stone lamps and candle holders brought all the way from the Northern-Cape.
Right now I am obsessed with the range of desk accessories including the Mini Stationery Desk Pavilion (for storing all your pens, post-its and other stationery items – R40), their range of 2015 diaries (cute and functional – R190 each) and the postcard-style Vintage Notepad (R100). I also have my eye on the Scratch-Off World Map (the perfect gift for any traveler!), a brown map which allows you to scratch off where you’ve been to reveal a different colour for each country underneath (R180).
