There are few things more South African than a classic Veldskoen. But, with warmer weather on the way, the thought of wearing closed shoes may not be appealing. Fortunately for women wanting the freedom to sink their toes into the sand at a moment’s notice, South Africa’s much loved Veldskoen brand is branching out to launch its first-ever women’s shoe range with the Namaqualand Collection.

This summer, step into the beauty of nature with the new Veldskoen Namaqualand Range. The sandal range offers two easy-to-wear colourways with the Veldskoen Aloe in Olive and the Veldskoen Daisy in Tan. Nature-inspired, these new sandals offer the perfect way to explore the world and dance amongst the flowers.

According to Veldskoen, the new Veldskoen Namaqualand sandals are made in South Africa using breathable, hydrophobic (water repellent) leather and all the material used to craft the sandal  is sustainably sourced.

I opted for the versatile Daisy sandal in Tan and after a few days of wearing these sandals I cannot believe how comfortable they are. Not to mention how stylish I feel wearing them. They go with almost everything in my spring wardrobe — whether it’s a summer sun dress, a flowy skirt, linen pants, or denim shorts.

If you’re after your own pair, then be sure to order these true to size. I am a size 4UK usually and the size 4UK was a perfect fit for me. They will be a little snug on the first try but after a few minutes of wear the leather will start to soften and stretch to make them the perfect fit. Don’t be tempted to go up a size if you try them on or they will be too big for you after a few wears.

The Veldskoen Namaqualand sandal range is now available to buy online at R899 per pair.
