The FIX Launches Barbie Collection for Women

Ask any 90s gal what her favourite toys were when she was little and Barbie will undoubtedly make the list. You may have noticed that 90s fashion is back in a big way and now South African fashion brand, The FIX, is ramping up the nostalgia with a super cute collaboration with Barbie, to bring you The Barbie x The FIX exclusive collection, specially designed in-house by the brand’s styling team.

Breaking fashion and style boundaries, this cute pink, black and white collection includes a range of trendy shirts, bodysuits and sweats. This is the first time the Barbie brand has been an appeal to young women in the country, rather than staying within the confines of the kids’ clothing range, and it’s perfect considering the brand’s upcoming 59th anniversary.

The Barbie doll was re-launched last year in a variety of different skin tones, hairstyles and body types, representing a more realistic world and causing excitement amongst people on a global scale – a feminist icon! The doll range now includes 4 body types, 7 skin tones, 22 eye colours, 24 hairstyles and an endless number of trendy clothing styles and accessories.
