The Dairy Den, Doughnut & Ice Cream Bar Opens in Sea Point!
Summer is a time for great innovation and what greater innovation is there than putting two of the world’s most delicious treats together? The Dairy Den is making everyone’s childhood dreams come true with their dedicated ice cream and doughnut bar located in the sunny seaside suburb of Sea Point. This clever little spot is the latest in a string of dessert-only eateries to pop up in Cape Town and we couldn’t be more excited.
The brainchild of sisters Tasia Donaldson and Lexi Van Kets, Dair Den will offer hungry customers both big and small a selection of delicious freshly baked doughnuts and a generous dollop of soft serve ice cream to go along with it. But this isn’t just any old doughnut and ice cream shop – they’re all about mixing old favourites with exciting new ways to enjoy sweet treats.
Doughnut lovers can expect classic flavours like powdered sugar, cinnamon, and iced chocolate as well exciting innovations like strawberry-cheesecake, chocolate-brownie and Oreo. As for the soft serve, it’s swirled daily and customers can choose from options like Flake 99 (a childhood favourite) as well as different flavours including strawberry, bubblegum and toffee served in three ways. Have you ice cream treat in a cup, in a black waffle cone (made from crushed Oreos!), or in an indulgent ‘conut’ made from doughnut dough (true story!) and top it all off with sugary delights like Peppermint Crisp, chocolate biscuits, or mini doughnuts.
The great news is paying a visit to this exciting new spot won’t break the bank – prices start from as little as R5 for a cinnamon doughnut!
