Tadaa! Ice Cream Celebrates Summer with Juicy Delicious Stone Fruit Collaboration

After years of working as an Editor and writer for…
Nothing captures the essence of summer like biting into the juicy freshness of a sun-ripened peach, nectarine, or plum. In season, stone fruit is the perfect snack for long, sunny beach days plus these fruits add sensational flavour to salads and shine in an array of sweet and savoury dishes. But there’s one stone fruit combo you won’t want to miss this holiday — fresh peaches, nectarines, and plums as the star ingredients in delectable ice cream flavours!
Juicy Delicious has teamed up with Cape Town’s newest, coolest ice cream spot, Tadaa! to make sure that the Mother City is in for a treat this holiday season. For this exciting mashup, Lena Sönnichsen, Tadaa!’s founder and ice cream creator has crafted three unforgettable summer flavours — Peach Cheesecake, Nectarine Cobbler with Almonds, and Plum Sorbet.

Staying true to Tadaa!’s artisanal, natural ice cream-making ethos, the fresh peaches, nectarines, and plums are all sourced from orchards near Cape Town. Lena’s recipes highlight the fruit’s natural flavours and colours, steering clear of additives.
“We are lucky to have such an abundance of high quality, locally grown stone fruit all summer long,” says Wilechia van der Westhuizen from Juicy Delicious. “Peaches, nectarines and plums are so versatile, pairing beautifully with such a variety of ingredients and they really are special stars when it comes to desserts and sweet treats. However, it’s certainly not that common to find a ready-made, all-natural ice cream featuring fresh stone fruit, and so we are delighted to be joining forces with Tadaa! to bring some sweet joy this summer.”

Those looking for a taste of the delicious collaboration can find Tadaa! on Kloof Nek Road, conveniently en route to Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and the ever-popular beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. For Sönnichsen, this summer marks a special milestone as it is Tadaa!’s very first festive holiday season. “These stone fruit flavours are my love letter to Cape Town this summer,” she says. “On a hot, sunny day it’s hard to think of anything better than treating yourself to a delicious ice cream.”
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, be sure to stop by Tadaa! to enjoy this unique stone fruit and ice cream experience. Indulge in a full scoop, a smaller ‘almost scoop,’ or choose a 600ml tub to enjoy at the beach or at home.

Tadaa! is located at 17 Kloof Nek Road. The store is open from 13:00 until late, Monday to Sunday. The new stone fruit flavours are available in-store until 15 December 2024.
