At Last, A Fashion Documentary That Makes Us Feel Good About Ourselves! [Watch]

Straight Curve

In the real world the average women is a size 36, in the fashion world the average women is a size 28 – it’s not difficult to see that we’ve got a bit of a problem on our hands. Of course, we do seem to have a bit of a revolution on our hands and the ‘plus-sized’ modelling industry is really starting to shake things up but with so many fashion houses still refusing to make sample sizes in anything bigger than a size 28 it seems like we still have a long way to go before we start to embrace women of all shapes and sizes in the fashion industry. This is where director Jenny McQuaile and her new documentary, Straight/Curve comes in!

Jenny decided to take on this hot topic in a documentary which talks to working models, agents, photographers, editors and stylists about how they see the industry they work in and how things need to change.

Watch as this inspiring trailer teases us with an in-depth look at why the fashion world still shies away from a massive industry, and why we should drop the term “plus size” altogether. If this is anything to go by then we can’t wait to see the full film come out in 2016!
