We met up with the fabulous stylists at Spoilt Hair & Nails in Green Point, Cape Town to check out the latest must-have looks as we head into the cooler months. From whimsical rainbow coloured hair to romantic rose gold – there’s a look for every type of girl.
The Cinnamon Swirl by Gilbert of Spoilt Hair & Nails
Much like the confectionery we have come to love, this colour is a softer blonde, with a hint of darker blonde and lighter brown tones. It’s a low maintenance colour for natural blondes and a subtle change for those wanting to experiment without too much of a change. Cinnamon Swirl is perfect for those winter months where low maintenance is key, but is also a great colour lift to keep the hair looking fresh and cared for with warmer colour to add vibrancy.
Charcoal Grey by Barbi of Spoilt Hair & Nails
Charcoal Grey has become a firm favourite with the daring especially amongst the more youthful. It’s a new take on the usual salt and pepper and a fresh take on the idea of going grey gradually. It’s a great choice for natural blondes not wanting to do the normal platinum shades we have all become accustomed to over the years and it’s a funky colour choice for those using their hair as a style statement.
Rose Gold by Zainab of Spoilt Hair & Nails
This is the new take on the strawberry blondes that some may have a love-hate relationship with. This look includes warm copper tones with a mix of honey blonde and a soft shimmer to the hair.
Peekaboo Rainbow by Adele of Spoilt Hair & Nails
This style is a redo of the 2014 trend that saw bright colour hair parading the streets. Peekaboo Rainbow is a more subtle approach to the rainbow colour movement with the colour only appearing at the bottom in the nape area. The top of the hair is kept in a neutral tone of either a solid blonde or black. The colour of choice for this year of a mix of blue and green smudged into the hair for messy mix of vibrant colour.
