Spalicious At-Home Spa Products Are a Game Changer for Ladies on a Budget [Review]

After years of working as an Editor and writer for…
We all cherish a good spa day, but we don’t always have the time or budget to squeeze one in. Luckily, for busy lasses on a budget local beauty brand, Spalicious offers a luxurious and cost-effective way to pamper yourself at home on those days when making it out of the house seems like an impossible feat. With a wide range of products to treat any skin concern, Spalicious leaves your skin feeling like a million bucks. The professional range of spa products is used at leading spas and beauty salons around South Africa so you can rest assured that they’ll give you great results. I tried the Spalicious Fig & Pomegranate range at home and am officially a fan of this ultra-nourishing range.
The Spalicious Fig & Pomegranate range contains all sorts of good-for-your-skin ingredients that help to nourish the skin and boost skin repair. The range is great for those who suffer from dry and damaged skin and is the best way to keep your skin in tip-top shape at home. Forget spending a small fortune on spa treatments, with this range you can pamper yourself at home and feel the stress melt into the abyss. With four products in the range, including the Fig & Pomegranate Mask, Soak, Scrub, and Butter, the Fig & Pomegranate range offers the complete spa package.
My favourite product in the range is the Spalicious Fig & Pomegranate Mask (R150 – 125ml). The product contains Kaolin (a natural claylike mineral ) – the active ingredient naturally reduces oiliness, detoxifies the skin from impurities, and keeps pores from blocking up. It works wonders for dry, irritated, or sensitive skin and also has strong re-mineralising properties (basically it’s great for boosting skin repair as well as drawing out toxins). The mask is perfect for treating super dry areas like feet, knees, elbows, and even ingrown hairs. I have been using it on my feet to treat the dry areas and callouses caused by my gym shoes and after two weeks of use the damaged areas on my feet and dry heels are smoother, softer, and the cracks have started to repair beautifully. Fans of Spalicious swear by this mask to treat skin conditions like eczema so it’s worth a try if you have dry or reactive skin that needs a real pick-me-up.
Another winner in the range is the Fig & Pomegranate Scrub (R150 – 125ml). Ladies, this scrub is the holy grail of scrubs! The coarse exfoliating scrub exfoliates dead and dry skin cells, whilst also providing moisture to the skin. The scrub contains wheat germ oil (that helps to repair damaged tissue and improve circulation), sweet almond oil (to improve elasticity as well as revive and soften the skin), and is naturally rich in vitamin E so it packs a moisture punch. After using this divine smelling scrub the skin is left feeling soft and conditioned and ready to take on the world. I have been using it before shaving and before applying self-tan and it gets rid of every last bit of dry and dead skin, leaving your skin feeling baby soft!
While the two products above were my standout favourites from the range, the other two products are exceptional too. With its deliciously fruity scent and real results, you can’t help but fall in love with the whole range.
