SA Power Couple, Emile & Razia Share their Holiday Season Fashion Picks!

Fans of the very first Power Couple South Africa will no doubt know that winners Emile and Razia Samson are fashionistas in their own right. The pair from Johannesburg beat out seven other couples in the reality show competition, but now, with the show behind them, they’re eager to use their moment in the limelight to share their fashion know-how with the South African public. With Emile’s experience in the world of visual merchandising and Razia’s skills in fashion recruitment, the pair have a keen eye for fashion styling and picking out unique pieces so we caught up with the dynamic duo to find out just what they’ll be wearing this holiday season. So, if you’re looking for a little style inspiration for your own holiday wardrobe then look no further – Emile and Razia have got your covered. And, there’s even a little inspiration for you to bag for that special man in your life!

WS: What 3 fashion must-haves go into your suitcase first when packing for a tropical beach holiday?

Razia: Safety pin earrings, a slinky culotte to wear from day to evening, and a gold foiled sweater, in a bruised copper colour, with a split cuff for a night out on the town.

Emile: A cut and sewn upcycled t-shirt (make sure it’s a boxy one for the hot weather!), a velvet bomber jacket (for when the nights get a bit cool), and a white slab-sole sneaker.

WS: What’s your secret weapon when it comes to planning a killer outfit for a special occasion or big event?

Razia: Definitely a killer pair of heels! Your shoe makes or breaks your look. If I’m looking for the perfect outfit, the shoes will often be the starting point.

WS: What is your favourite South African fashion label and why?

Razia: Shoni Meela. There is no doubt she is going to be the next big thing, #watchthisspace!

Emile: My tailor – undoubtedly South Africa’s best import since Cinnabon!
