SA Chef to Star in Hot New Netflix Cooking Show, The Final Table
If you’re addicted to cooking shows you’re going to love the latest Netflix series, The Final Table. This unique new series will pit top chefs from around the globe against each other as they compete for a spot at the ‘ final table’. It’s sure to be a nail-biting watch but the great news is, even we South Africans have some skin the game as it’s just been revealed that local wunderkind chef, Ash Heeger is one of the 24 international competitors in the show!
Each episode of The Final Table will focus on a different country and cuisine and will see 12 chef teams of two cooking up different countries’ cuisines for some of the world’s greatest culinary talents. Throughout the series, a judging panel made up of celebrities, food critics and that country’s top chef, will eliminate teams until the grand finale, where the winning chef will be honoured with a seat at the judge’s table.
Cape Town chef, Ash Heeger is a true force to be reckoned with in The Final Table, which will air on 20 November around the globe. The series has already been compared to famed cooking show, Top Chef, meaning that we can expect a smoking hot 10 episodes.
Young gun Ash Heeger has numerous awards and accolades under her belt including her up-and-coming project: the transformation of her first restaurant, ASH, into sustainable fine dining spot, The Riverine Rabbit. It’s no wonder she was selected to participate in The Final Table!
