Lips are multifaceted, we eat, drink, smile and kiss with them. It is one of the most sensitive and sexiest parts of the body and by combining them with the correct lip product you can do just about anything.
Lipsticks, lip balms and lip liners are some of the most essential products in any makeup bag. But, with so many brands out there and a seemingly endless amount of products, how do know which ones are right for you? To help you decide which products are worth a try, I’ve put together a tried and tested list of 7 lip products I’m loving this summer.
Featuring a combination of reds, purples and nudes, that could potentially give Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty a run for its money, along with the very best in summer lipcare products, this list aims to please!
Palladio Herbal Matte Lipstick
This beautiful matte lipstick from cruelty-free makeup brand, Palladio is a great choice for anyone looking for makeup with added skincare benefits. Infused with Carnauba Wax, Aloe Lead Extract and Safflower Oil, this multi-tasking lipstick will also help to keep your lips looking and feeling hydrated and fresh on hot summer days.
Available in 12 shades, there’s a colour to suit any style. I reviewed Palladio’s Herbal Matte Lipstick in the shade Regal Café and instantly fell in love with the product. It glides on effortlessly, creating a flawless natural look. It’s also smudge-proof and doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry after applying it. The remarkable Regal Café shade is a brownie nude colour, which matched beautifully with my skin tone, plus, the product feels light on the lips and creates a natural finish.

Having a classic lipstick range is great, but your lips must be healthy too. Choosing the right skincare for lips is just as important which is where this Blistex serum comes in. Using this conditioning serum by Blistex helps to heal dry and cracked lips, leaving them soft and hydrated all day long.
I’ve added this serum to my morning, day and night routine and now, I can’t go a day without it. Sorbet Mattefy Me Liquid Lipstick
Sorbet salons have always been my go-to spot for anything beauty-related and I love everything about their brand. So, when I got the chance to review two lip products from the Sorbet makeup range I was delighted, to say the least. Available in six colours, the Sorbet Mattefy Me Liquid Lipstick is an affordable gem of note.
I tried the lipstick in the shade “Cheeky” and found the application of this product to be remarkable. Boasting great pigmentation, rich colour and a bold finishing touch, this liquid lippy is a great choice for any occasion. This bright unapologetic shade gives your face that extra pop with or without makeup. Plus, it’s smudge-proof and blends well with any complexion or eye colour. Overall, I found this lipstick to be a real winner as far as liquid lipsticks go and oh-so-easy to use.

Sorbet ‘Lips Stay Put’ Duo Lip Liner
Which brings me to my next Sorbet find, the Sorbet Duo Lip Liner. Why spend thousands on lip fillers or a cosmetic surgeon for bigger lips when you can easily create a fuller lip effect with Sorbet’s duo lip liner in shades “Sexy” and “Sassy”? If we’ve learned anything from Kylie Jenner, it’s that a great lip liner is a girl’s best friend and can be used to create the illusion of fuller lips.
Sorbet’s trendy lip liner duo is a must-have item in your makeup bag as this duo shade of light and dark pink is the ideal blend with any lipstick. The lip liner is preservative-free and contains natural anti-oxidants to help treat lips while you wear it. The liner has a soft texture and even if you don’t have steady hands, it still glides easily onto the lips for a flawless look. I for sure think that this lip liner is essential for your lips and I recommend you spoil yourself this summer.

Palladio Ombre 2 in 1 lip colour
I have always kept it safe when it comes to lip shades, but I have turned a new leaf since Palladio Ombre made its way onto my lips. The double shade of light and dark purple pencil-shaped lipstick enables you to create an admirable, classic and bold look with ease.
The lipstick consists of botanical and Vitamin infused ingredients allowing a smooth texture and great pigmentation. Its 2-in-1 feature is a bonus, let your creative side out and create badass looks with these two shades. The product design may not be ideal, but it’s smudge-proof and last for hours. I tried Ombre 2 in 1 lip colour in shade “Mix and Mingle” which offers a double-sided dark and light purple lipstick shade. Use the darker side as a liner and the lighter side to fill in your lips, or vice versa. Better yet, mix the two for a stand-out shade that is more than unique.

LA Girl Metal Liquid Lipstick
First off, I need to applaud the colour of this liquid lipstick; it’s striking pigment and metallic look is perfect for night or day and is sure to turn heads. The application itself is thin and light, and the brush is pointy and steady enough for you to line your lips easily without smudging. The pigment is rich and ensures an ideal shine without it being glossy or too thick. Best of all? This lippy is designed to last! The product does not easily smudge off and is even resistant when drinking liquids.
The cruelty-free brand designed this unique liquid lipstick to accentuate the lip line, leaving your lips looking classy and oh-so-sassy. This is a product that is more than worthy to be a part of your collection. Catrice Matte Lipstick
What is a lipstick review without adding red lipstick to the mix? Wearing red lipstick can say a lot about you and that’s why it is important to ensure you have a good quality red lipstick ready to turn heads. I was given the chance to try out Catrice Matt Ultimate Shade 310; this iconic, bright and daring red number does wonders for your ‘sass appeal’ and was great match for my complexion.
There is no need to add anything extra to your look because this bombshell product is a powerhouse that creates a gorgeous chic look with coverage for hours.
