Puma Launches Minions Inspired Sneakers for Kids

If you have kids then you no doubt know that the loveable Minions are back on the big screen in the highly anticipated Despicable Me 3. The film released in South African cinemas on the 30th of June 2017 and is already a box office hit. To celebrate the inevitable success of the film and the return of the Minions Puma has teamed up with Illumination to bring kids the ultimate style statement – Minion inspired sneakers and apparel! Here is everything you need to know about the PUMA x Minions Collection hitting South African stores this July.

Since their breakout role in 2010’s Despicable Me, the Minions have become pop-cultural icons who continue to inspire artists, designers and global tastemakers. For this collaborative footwear and apparel collection with PUMA, the Minions Stuart, Carl and Kevin bring their mischevious sweetness to the playful yet fashionable luxe designs of the Puma collection for kids.

Minions Basket Wrap Statement Infant Unisex R899.

The range features new patterns and splashes of colour, plenty of goggles, bananas and more. The Minions put a joyful spin on the PUMA Basket, topping it with a banana print on the strap. The basket also comes in a laced version, with the upper wrapped in a black-and-white Minions illustration, finished with a blue Formstripe and trademark yellow lacing. Both shoes feature a debossed PUMA No. 1 with the Minions’ logo.

The Minions’ antics continue in the kids’ apparel collection, which includes Track Jackets, Sweat Pants, Hoodies, and Tees — all featuring the PUMA x Minions collaboration logo and a variety of comical graphics. Backpacks and Caps complete the fun range. As for prices, the Minions Basket V for Infants (unisex) are priced at R899 and the Minions Basket V for Pre-School children (unisex) at R999. The Minions Hooded Jackets for boys and girls are priced at R899 while and the Minions Backpacks are priced at R749.
