PSA: There’s a Huge Gin Festival Happening in Cape Town this Month!

Roses are red, violets are blue, Valentine’s Day may be over, but luckily there’s gin to turn to. If that sounds about right, you’re in luck, because a gin festival is coming to Cape Town to lift your boozy spirits and make you forget all about the post Valentine’s Day blues. Yes indeed, get out your Calendars and save the date because the Original Gin & Tonic Festival has announced its return to Cape Town soil this month!

Taking place on 24 February, 2019 the Original Gin & Tonic Festival will return to the Mother City for a gin-tastic extravaganza that is sure to get you in the mood to celebrate. As alweays, the festival will showcase a wide range of the country’s gin scene from popular, lesser known, and gin-dependent new brands, as well a selection of premium international spirits. Meaning there is loads for gin lovers to discover and plenty for the gin adverse to dabble in too.

This year, the festival will be hosted at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, and promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The festival has partnered with The Neighbourgoods Market to bring you a delightful day out with fabulous food traders, stalls, and a curated line-up of live music to get your foot tapping and rump shaking.

Festival goers can expect a bounty of delicious artisanal eats by Cape Town’s street food stars and a diverse lineup of musical acts across multiple stages, all in celebration of the purveyors, spirits and cocktails behind South Africa’s iconic gin culture.
