Pop Corks and Corn This Valentine’s Day With Polkadraai Wines
Looking for something unique to do for Valentine’s Day in the Cape this year? With romance in the air, Stellenbosch Hills has created the perfect pairing of Polkadraai wines and popcorn maestros Guzzle & Wolf’s gourmet popcorn for the month of February only. Along with the beautiful country setting of the venue, this is a taste experience you don’t want to miss!
The pairing offers an exciting line-up nibbles and sips including the latest addition to Polkadraai’s range, the Sauvignon Blanc Brut 2018. This drier, fruity wine pairs beautifully and tropically with Guzzle & Wolf’s banana-coated popcorn.
Another highlight of the tasting is the Polkadraai Pinot Noir Sparkling Rosé 2017 is paired with Guzzle & Wolf’s strawberry popcorn. The sweetness and red berry notes of the rosé collaborate beautifully with the strawberry flavour of the popcorn – tastes just like romance!
In addition to this exciting new tasting, every Friday, the Stellenbosch Hills winery celebrates the happiest day of the week with the offer of buying any five Polkadraai wines and receiving one free! You can also take comfort in knowing that your love of wine will be helping out a good cause as Polkadraai donates a percentage of all their wine sales to Vlottenburg Primary school as part of the Polka Kids Community Project.
The Polkadraai & Popcorn Tasting costs R50 per person and each session runs for around 30 minutes. The tastings take place at the winery, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00.
