Celebrate Women’s Month with a Pink High Tea at the 12 Apostles!
Women’s Month has arrived – yes ladies, we’re claiming the whole month now – and The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa will once again be celebrating Women’s Month with a special ‘Pink High Tea’, in honour of women and remembering the thousands of women who marched to the Union Buildings on 9 August 1956 in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women. For the month of August guests will be invited to pop into the Twelve Apostles to enjoy a wide variety of delectable pink treats to mark the auspicious occasion. With a selection of sugary options, even the sweetest tooth will be satisfied. Guests can indulge in freshly baked Strawberry scones with strawberry cream, Pink velvet cupcakes, Strawberry macaroons, Rose mousse, Red wine caramel, and of course Bea’s famous cheesecake, served with forest berry gel. Chocolate lovers will adore the Chocolate brownies coated with pink chocolate and the Chocolate éclairs with berry glaze.
For those who a more savoury palate there will be delicate finger sandwiches, including Smoked salmon with cream cheese, Chicken mayonnaise with toasted almond and Roast beef with horseradish and rocket, as well as the traditional Egg mayonnaise and Cheese and tomato varieties. Of course, no high tea is complete without tea so all of these delights will be accompanied by the finest selection of fragrant teas and coffees.
The Twelve Apostles Hotel’s Pink High Tea will be served daily in The Leopard Bar from 10:00 to 16:00, throughout the month of August. The high tea spread will set you back R195 per person and includes eats, treats and tea and coffee.
