New Load Shedding App Aims to Keeps You Out of The Dark

Living in the 21st Century is the best thing ever – no matter what dilemma you’re facing someone will inform you that; “there’s an app for that!” From keeping track of your monthly budget to planning your weekly run there’s an app to help you along your way. Of course, South Africans are currently being plagued by a rather annoying dilemma known as load shedding; keeping track of the stages and schedules is enough to drive you crazy and we have all been caught unawares at one stage or another. Luckily for us, there’s an app for that! We introduce to you, LoadShed the new app that aims to keep you out of the dark … or at least you know when it’s coming.

The new app is super easy to use and offers a user-friendly interface that even our office monkey could use (just kidding, we don’t have an office monkey – we wish!). LoadShed gives you up to the minute Load Shedding information on multiple suburbs at one time and allows you to ‘watch’ different suburbs at the same time. Add your work suburb, home address and even your parent’s home to the ‘watchlist’ and you’ll always know which suburbs are going to be plunged into darkness and when.

The app is available on Android and iOS and the best is it’s free! This nifty little piece of technology is a must-have for South Africans who want to stay informed and who are sick and tired of being plunged into darkness at the most inconvenient times.
