MSC Launches New-Look Sinfonia Cruise Ship

MSC

If you love cruise holidays then you are going to be super excited about the latest news from the MSC family. The beloved MSC Sinfonia is back after undergoing a rather extreme makeover… or ‘stretching’ as they call it in the cruise liner world. The fancy pants cruise ship is due to head to back to South Africa very shortly, just in time for the 2015 cruise season. We’ve got all the info you need on the new-look ship so you can make an informed decision when booking a much-needed end of year holiday.

The MSC Sinfonia is the second MSC Cruises ship to undergo restyling and extension, after her sister ship MSC Armonia returned to sea in November 2014. The ship was carefully bisected and a whopping 24 Metre midsection was inserted giving the ship 193 extra cabins and 94 new Balcony Cabins. Along with her expanded square meterage, the ship also got a whole new look on the inside. From new carpets, reupholstered seating and repainted ceilings, this year MSC passengers will discover a very different beast when they step on board the Sinfonia. Perhaps the most exciting thing about the makeover is that every single cabin on-board the Sinfonia has been redesigned and refurbished with new carpets, fabrics and features to ensure guests enjoy top-notch accommodations.

In addition to the interior facelift, the ship has also been upgraded with all sorts of new facilities. Key improvements for families include a number of new purpose-built areas for children as well as a new dedicated Baby Club, Mini Club, Young Club and Teens Club. The new Doremi Spray park on Deck 11 will also provide an additional area of family fun. This is great news for parents with kids who love to take advantage of the ‘kids cruise free’ offer on MSC Cruises. Other upgrades include additional massage areas at the ship’s spa, an exclusive Solarium on deck 13, two restyled open pool areas, two whirlpool baths and a 200m power walking track.

As for the food, the ship offers an extra 600 square metres of dedicated dining space on board and MSC has also reimagined the on-board dining experiences with three restaurants, a new on-board bistro, and a 20-hour per day buffet service for late-night snacking. Oh, and the ship will also offer pizza delivery to your cabin! Additional mobile bars, soft drink stations and a Vitamin Bar Experience (for virgin and alcoholic fruit cocktails) have being added to make gettings drinks on-board an easier experience.
