Marble Team to Open New Restaurant, Saint ‘Pazzo Italiano’, in Sandton

The Joburg restaurant scene is on fire – new restaurants seem to be sprouting up every week and now Chef David Higgs and South African entrepreneur, Gary Kyriacou, the team behind Johannesburg’s popular Marble restaurant, have partnered once again to open new spot, Saint ‘Pazzo Italiano‘ (meaning ‘Mad Italian’) in Sandton.
Set to open its doors in August this year, Saint aims to focus on Sandton’s business crown, serving quick, tasty dishes for people on the go. Although the restaurant will not offer exclusively Italian cuisine, it will have a strong Italian vibe. As for the menu, along with Italian pizza and pasta, the restaurant will boast many dishes inspired by Asian cooking and Grillworks.
Located in the new MARC Building on the corner of Maude Street and Rivonia Road, the restaurant will seat around 230 people in an area of 1000m², including a large bar space and seated balcony area overlooking the street.
According to Higgs and Kyriacou, Saint will be totally different from their other restaurant, Marble, which is well-known amongst South Africans for its stunning setting and cuisine.
