Man Crush Monday: Getting Down with Dancer, Nathan Adriaanse
Born and bred in the Western Cape, Nathan Adriaanse’s dancing career has taken him around the globe. Featuring in everything from local and international TV advertisements to big on-stage productions, including the Whitney Houston World Tribute Show and Michael Jackson History Tribute Show, Nathan is no stranger to the limelight. We got to sit down the mover and shaker to see just what makes him tick.

Loyal, loving, caring, soft-hearted and focused.
What is your idea of the perfect date?
The perfect date has no time or place. Let’s just enjoy each other’s space and the conversation.
What do you look for in a woman?
I look for a woman who will be a loyal and honest human. Strong, driven and passionate.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Well, when growing up I was definitely crushing on Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider, Gone in 6 Seconds and Wanted.
Your biggest relationship dealbreaker is…
The ultimate woman wil be someone who gets and understands me. Someone who shows interest and is genuinely an honest person. For me, the ultimate turn off is dating a dishonest person.
What do you do for fun or to relax?
I do love going to the beach and I also enjoy training as past of my fun as relaxing time. It sounds weird but it does relax me.
If you could instantly download three skills or super powers like an app what would they be?
I’d want to be able to fly so that travelling will be at my own will. I’d like to be able to excellently execute all the dance styles. I’d like the super power to grant myself three wishes
Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
I’m completely obsessed with growth. Being a better human and a dancer. The more I grow in skill and strength the more I’m able to understand and do.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
That I had really bad eye sight for a long period of time in my adult life and only recently had surgery done to correct my vision. Another fact: I went to Rondebosch Boys High School.
When you were little you wanted to be…
A professional footballer. More specifically, I wanted to become the next David Beckham.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
I’m looking forward to going back to Los Angeles and taking various dance classes at Millennium Dance Complex and at Debbie Reynolds studios – where the top dancers in the world showcase their dance skills.
What can’t you live without?
I can’t live without my relationship with God.
