Man Crush Monday: Find Out Why We’re Crushing on DJ Sox
If there are two things we love it’s – Greek men and music! Combine the two and you have a winning combination, in local hunk, DJ Sox. Cape Town’s favourite DJ might be married to South African personality, Bailey Schneider but that doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to harbour a secret crush for him. We sat down with the local heartthrob to find out what he gets up to when he’s not blowing up our speakers.

Loyal, sporty, passionate, funny, generous.
What’s your idea of the perfect date?
For me, there is no perfect date, but anything I can do with my wife where we have time for only each other is ideal for me.
What do you look for in a woman?
Honesty, loyalty, family morals and beauty – lucky to say I have found the woman with all those qualities.
Who is your celeb crush, and why?
Growing up I think it was Drew Barrymore, no idea why. I don’t really have one now, but maybe Katherine Heigl
Your biggest relationship deal breaker (or turn off) is…
Smoking is a no-no for me, and self – centredness.
What do you like to do for fun or to relax?
I love to be a couch potato – being in the entertainment industry and always needing to be in the party mood, it is great to unwind in my own surrounding without having to worry about persona or image. I also love to be around friends, having a braai and just talking about anything.
If you could instantly download three skills or super powers like an app what would they be?
Wow, that’s a tough one. JUST ONE? I guess it would have to be a toss-up between being able to fly and being able to make myself invisible.
Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
Apart from my family, I am obsessed with my football team, Manchester United. I always have been, and am planning a trip to watch them in the Cup Final.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
That I am actually shy/self-conscious especially around people I have just met.
When you were little you wanted to be…
A priest… Can you believe that? I would walk around the house in a priest outfit blessing everyone.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
Without a doubt the birth of our first child!
What can’t you live without?
Family and friends.

Favourite clothing brand? Too many to narrow down, but I love G Star jeans, and Nike and Adidas sportswear!
Favourite childhood memory? Playing soccer with my dad and going to the park with my mom.
Your Woman Crush Wednesday? Apart from my wife – Katherine Heigl!
Favourite go to place? Locally, Plett – my friend has an amazing house there and it is a great getaway. Internationally – Greece, Zanzibar and Las Vegas.
Favourite sportsman? Eric Cantona and Ryan Giggs.
Favourite drink? Non-alcoholic – sparkling water. Alcoholic – Tequila.
