Get Groovy at the Make Love Not War Festival [Event]

Capetonians, it’s time to get groovy on the beach this spring! A new kind of retro festival is heading to Cape Town and we can’t wait to get involved. Taking place at ‘Grand Africa – Beach’, V & A Waterfront, Make Love Not War is getting ready to dig out classic 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s tunes for one big party on the beach. Taking place on 24th of September 2015 this unique festival is not to be missed!
Set on a private beach, overlooking Table Bay, the festival will see barefoot bohemian types come together for a day of funky fashion, great food and fabulous music. While away the hours browsing the hippie market where Cape Town’s top fashion and décor brands have been invited to sell their collections of vibrant kaftans, crocheted bikinis or quilted throws and scatter cushions or pop over to the entertainment area for a tarrot reading or Ayurvedic massage.
Then, when your tummy starts to rumble, amble over to the Food Shacks to grab a bite to eat. Choose from a selection of wood-fired pizzas, Mixed Seafood Ceviche, Grand Africa Gatsbys, West Coast Lobster Artisan Rolls, Deluxe Lettuce Rolls and Rice Wraps and Decadent Vanilla Churros. And, once your tank is full, grab a drink and dance the night away on the beach!
And, if you miss the first one then fear not because Make Love Not War plans to offer a series of festivals! The festival series launches on the 24th of September 2015, with further events planned for the 16th of December 2015 and the 20th of March 2016.
The event starts at 14:00 and tickets will set you back R200 per person from Nutickets. VIP table bookings can be also made by emailing tim@grandafrica.com. No under 18’s allowed.
