This innovative new app works to connect pet owners with authenticated pet sitters close and gives owners the choice to book them for a house sitting, pet boarding, drop-in visit, or dog walking gig when and where they need it — brilliant! The pet sitting app works in a similar way to Uber, connecting those searching for pet-sitters to verified Minderz sitters in the area. To work with Minderz, all sitters are required to go through a validation process which includes having a passion for animals and previous experiences both pet-setting and volunteering at an animal shelter. This ensures that pet owners can have peace of mind that the person looking after their beloved fur baby when they’re away will know exactly how to love and care for their pet.

The app offers users a variety of services, including house sitting, pet boarding, drop-in visits and dog walking and prices range from as little as R99 to R189, depending on the service booked. Based in Cape Town, Minderz has 600 pet-sitters on hand with smaller groups in Joburg and Durban. With an increase in demand, the website is planning to relaunch soon, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
