Life Grand Cafe Opens New Restaurant at Mall of Africa!
Fans of popular restaurant, Life Grand Café , will be excited to hear that they’ve just opened a brand new Life Grand Café experience at Africa’s largest Mall! This newest venture is their fifth restaurant in Gauteng and judging from previous experience with their eateries, it’s going to blow your socks off. The new Mall of Africa restaurant joins the already popular Life Grand Cafés at Hyde Park Corner in Johannesburg, Mall of the South in Aspen Hills, Waterfall Corner in Midrand and at The Club in Pretoria. Here’s the low-down on what you can expect from the new spot.
With its prime position at the main entrance of the mall and a fantastic indoor-outdoor location, the Life Grand Café at the Mall of Africa is beyond beautiful. The restaurant has a sweeping central bar made of aged brass and teal marble, curving lounge seating and more intimate pockets of privacy interspersed within the dramatic double volume space. Massive circular chandeliers above the bar are anchored by two large bronze figures, similar to those found in the grand cafes of Europe and the Americas, whilst tropical decor details invite guests to enjoy a relaxed day or evening ambiance with their dining experience.
As for the food, diners can expect to find fresh, delicious soul food on the menu. Life Grand Café at the Mall of Africa will offer much of the same items as the other eateries in the group, while offering exclusive menu items as well. The menu offers a wide range of delectable dishes like bound and salsa verde, ceviche, terrific tapas, fresh sea bass and unique dishes from the wood-burning oven, which is the heart of each store. The restaurants are also well-known for their theatre bars – from the Salad Bar and Raw Bar (serving the freshest sushi and sashimi of seafood flown in daily) to the Barista Stations and Patisserie Counters, Life Grand Cafe guests are treated to the visual theatre of food and its creation in front of their eyes.
And to wash it all down – the Life Grand team have worked hard to curate everything, from the healthy Juice Bar offerings, to delicious signature garnitas, an acclaimed wine selection, as well as a number of designer cocktails including cucumber and apple mojitos and jasmine martinis.
