My Style By LABEL

Label Blogger Challenge

This week I was invited to take part in LABEL’s super fun blogger competition and jumped at the chance to create five different looks using five of my favourite pieces from the LABEL collection. The thing that most attracted me to the challenge was that the looks had to fit into my personal style. Now, like lots of ladies out there my day-to-day style tends to be quite laid-back (comfort is key!) but, I also love to have fun with my look and get a little more jazzed up for a night out on the town, work events or a special occasion. So, I decided to create 5 very different looks all of which fit into my somewhat schizophrenic style. And, don’t forget to keep reading for details on how you can win a R500 LABEL shopping voucher!

For those of you who don’t know, LABEL is a local, ready-to-wear womenswear brand designed by Nadia Turton. Their effortlessly chic designs and easy to style pieces are available from their online store as well from their flagship home in the newly developed The Point Mall in Sea Point. The great thing about LABEL is that their clothes offer something for every type of woman – fashion forward ladies and classic lasses will love their beautifully made basics and stylish pieces which are easy to mix and match with your wardrobe. The brand believes that fashion is what you buy but style is what you do with it! That mantra really spoke to me and I must say I found it super easy to incorporate my chosen LABEL pieces into my own style.

But enough of this fluffy banter let’s check out the looks I created!

1. Pretty in Pink:

My first look is a pretty date-night outfit that is ultra comfortable yet sophisticated. I am beyond obsessed with this chunky knit with elegant embellishments from LABEL – it’s comfortable yet elegant. I also love anything with pockets and this dirty pink skirt perfectly fits with my laid-back style. I paired my outfit with black tights, gold accessories and nude platform pumps.

2. Who Needs ‘Fat’ Pants:

Like I said, comfort is key and this look is sassy but super comfortable. I was tempted to pair these navy pants with zip detail from LABEL with a pair of sneakers, but I love the way these pants look with high heels. The slim leg is so flattering when worn with a pair of high heels. The great thing about these pants is that they are supremely comfortable – seriously with pants this comfortable and forgiving who needs ‘fat’ pants? I paired them with a slouchy grey T-shirt, brown faux leather jacket, tri-chain necklace and grey high heels.

3. All Wrapped Up:

Investing in a show-stopping trench coat is probably the most important thing you will do this winter. This camel trench with over-sized collar from LABEL is everything, so for this outfit I wanted the coat to be the star of the show. I paired it with black leather-look leggings, a slouchy black T-shirt and striped platform pumps. I also added some subtle accessories including gold stud earrings and a serpent ring.

Another must-have item for this winter is the over-sized cardigan. This light pink cardigan with leather-look details, from LABEL is a great piece to mix and match this season. I paired it with grey winter leggings, a black tank top, black and grey print scarf, a slouchy beanie and black wellingtons. This look is cosy and comfortable and the calf-high wellingtons with lace-up detail are perfect for rainy weather.

5. All Tied Up:

Pairing skinny jeans with ankle boots is one of my favourite looks at the moment and this extra-length collared shirt from LABEL was the perfect thing to pair with my brown combat-style boots. The dusty pink shirt has a gorgeous print and is easy to pair with anything from a skirt to leggings or jeans. Instead of leaving it long I decided to tie it up and show off my jeans at the same time. I paired the look with rose gold and gold stack bracelets and gold stud earrings.
