Krispy Kreme Opens in Joburg – Prices Revealed!
The very first Krispy Kreme Donuts South Africa opened to media and invited guests in Rosebank this evening, Thursday 19 November and WomenStuff was there to get the scoop for all you doughnut loving readers out there. If you’re super excited about the king of doughnuts opening in South Africa then keep reading because we’ve got the scoop on what you can expect in stores as well as prices!
The new store at The Zone at Rosebank is everything we expected and more. If you’ve tried Krispy Kreme doughnuts overseas then fear not, they’re just as delicious in South Africa as you remember them being. If you’ve never tried a Krispy Kreme doughnut then get ready to experience a taste sensation because they are beyond yummy.
The first South African store offers a wide range of flavours including the chocolate iced custard (a chocolate dipped donut with a custard centre), sugar coated (a simple cinnamon sugar coated donut), original glazed (a basic syrup glazed donut), caramel Kreme crunch (a chocolate and nut dipped donut), peanut butter with chocolate drizzle (a peanut butter and chocolate dipped donut), cinnamon apple (a cinnamon dipped donut with apple centre), and cookies and Kreme. There’s a wide range to choose from and customers are sure to find their favourites very soon.
The doughnuts are priced at R8.95 for a single original glazed doughnut, R89.95 for a dozen original glazed doughnuts, R10.95 for a single assorted doughnut (i.e. the fancier flavoured ones) and R99.95 for a dozen assorted doughnuts.
In addition to the doughnuts Krispy Kreme South Africa also offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks. Choose from a range of hot drinks including cappuccino (R19), Cafe Latte (R22 for 350ml), Caramel flavoured latte (R27 for 350ml), Chai latte (R25 for 350ml), and white hot chocolate (R24 for 350ml). The drinks menu also offers delicious iced Chillers. Kremey Chillers include flavours like coffee, choc mint, peanut butter & banana, white chocolate, mixed berry, and mango (all R35 for 350ml). For something iced cold choose a frozen dairy-free Chiller – the list includes a mixed berry, mango, passion fruit and tropical (all R28 for 350ml).
