Is the New Adidas Ultra Boost the Best Running Shoe Ever?

Listen up sports fanatics, Adidas recently launched what it is calling; “the best running shoe ever” and we thought you should know about it. Launched at the beginning of March the new Adidas Ultra Boost is being hailed as the best thing to happen to the world of running since in-shoe training pods so we thought we’d try and find out what all the fuss is about. Here’s the low-down on the new shoe that could change the way you run.

Of course the new running shoe looks great but what makes it so different from every other running shoe on the market? Firstly, Adidas says that they approached the make-up of this shoe a little differently. When designing the shoe Adidas carefully looked at runners’ feet to see exactly what happens to a person’s foot when they run. They quickly realised that in order for the shoe to assist the runner it would need to adapt to the movement of the foot as it moved and mimic the natural movement of the foot.

So what does that mean exactly? Well, for starters, it means no more blisters (yippeee!) Because the shoe is working in harmony with your foot and moving right along with it the chances of rubbing and chafing are no longer an issue. The Prime Knit upper of the shoe allows for the foot to move and expand while running and the hallow heel counter allows for the heel to flow with the natural movement of the foot instead of rubbing up against the back of the shoe. Thanks to the shoe’s snug ‘sock fit’ technology the wearer also gets a perfect fit every time – something that also helps to alleviate rubbing and blisters.

But wait, there’s more! The shoe also has a super clever web sole that can adapt to the way your fit hits the ground. This lessens the impact when your foot hits the ground and allows for a smoother run. Working right alongside the web sole is the ‘boost sole’ which is made up of thousands (no seriously, thousands!) of tiny capsules bonded together to form one super bouncy sole.
