H&M is Selling a Replica of Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress!
Almost the entire world watched as commoner Kate Middleton walked down the aisle to marry her literal prince in a dream wedding in 2011. Future brides still swooning over the Duchess’ wedding dress (and let’s be honest, it was one to remember!) will be stoked to know that an affordable replica of Kate Middleton’s wedding gown is now available at H&M! *Cue celebratory music*
The white floor-length design now available at H&M is almost an exact replica of Kate Middleton’s custom Alexander McQueen dress and retails at just $299 – far cheaper than the original which apparently cost around $211 000.
It’s safe to say that H&M nailed the most key features of the dress – like the sheer lace sleeves, bustier top and A-line silhouette – but there are a few subtle differences like a keyhole slit in the back and the lack of train. But for $299, we think its a royal bargain!
Not getting married any time soon? This beautiful dress isn’t just for a wedding and can also be worn to a formal event like a dance or ball – because why not!
There’s no word about the dress being available at H&M stores in South Africa just yet but since we get loads of the same stock as our UK neighbours we’re holding thumbs this dress makes the cut for the SA market.
