Gin & Tonic Popsicles Arrive in SA, Just in Time for Summer!

Yes, you heard right. A year after launching the hugely successful PJ Pops™, the same company is now bringing you South Africa’s first ever bespoke gin & tonic popsicles! Under the name Frost Popsicles and made locally using artisanal Hope on Hopkins Gin, you can look forward to cooling down this summer with two delicious popsicle flavours – G&T Classic and G&T Berry Infusion.

JML Consulting, the company behind those brilliant Pierre Jourdan Wine Popsicles from last year, have decided it’s time to expand on the popsicles trend and what better way to do it than with the much-loved G&T. Everyone loves gin, so much so that it’s become something of a global phenomenon, so it’s not hard to see why this next boozy step is an obvious one.

What to expect? With the texture of a sorbet, the G&T Classic offers all the subtle bitterness and juniper notes of a classic gin and tonic, while the G&T Berry Infusion brings flavours of blackberries, strawberries and blueberries for a sweeter experience.

Says Natasha Alomia, co-founder of JML Consulting, “We wanted to appeal to different palates whilst staying true to what we love about a great G&T and create an authentic flavour that stays true to the original Gin – the Popsicle retains all the flavours that make the bottled product so appealing”.

The tubes are fully recyclable and are the first ever popsicle tubes in the world to be made from a more robust Tetrapak material. Also – how cute is that packaging design? It’s meant to reflect the fun, urban energy of our local craft gin revolution.
