Gåte at Home Brings Fine-Dining to Your Doorstep in Cape Town
Are you missing the fun of going out to eat at fine dining restaurants during the lockdown? While you may not be able to head out to experience your favourite fine dining eateries any time soon, Gåte at Quoin Rock has found a way to bring the magic of fine dining to you. Taking diners on a culinary trip around the globe in the comfort of their own homes, Gåte at Home is ideal for foodies craving the finer things in life.
Featuring a three-course tasting journey curated by Chefs Nicole Loubser and James Would, the Gåte at Home box brings together art, tradition, and technical craft in a unique way. Using ingredients sourced from local suppliers, the dishes are prepared with the highest level of hygiene stringency to ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff during this time.
The début Gåte at Home three-course set menu started with a warm Italian soup, served with Gåte’s iconic cigar and a mesmerising Thyme cream reduction. It was followed by a Japanese-inspired Pork Belly, with pickled cucumber and Shemeji mushroom reduction. To end the meal, diners were treated to a decadent dessert straight from the Caribbean with a Pina Colada Panna Cotta with mint and pineapple salsa.
The menu changes every two weeks so there’s always something new for foodies to discover. The menu for the next two weeks features a warm, comforting signature Ukrainian Borscht, an exciting new Oryx Wellington dish and the much-loved Starry Night dessert.
This delicious home feast is priced at R400 per person with minimum orders of two are required. For those with little one, a Kids Mac and Cheese is also available to order at R50 per person.

Minimum orders of two are required. A R50 delivery fee is applicable to Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Cape Town City Bowl, other areas R100.
