Marc Anthony Refreshing Coconut Clear Dry Shampoo

The beauty world is full of surprises! Just when you thought you’d seen it all when it comes to exciting beauty launches, the clever sausages keep pulling more rabbits out of the hat. I tried a lot of beauty products in June but these 5 finds were indeed my favourite of them all. Here are my picks for the top 5 new beauty products to try in June and beyond.

1. Optiphi Classic Clarity Serum

Optiphi Classic Clarity Serum
This new serum from local skincare brand, Optiphi is a boss at calming breakouts! The soothing serum has skin calming properties that help to soothe inflamed and irritated areas while also helping to prevent further breakouts on the skin. The serum is best used to as a treatment for affected zones to soothe blemishes and acne prone skin conditions. The product contains a powerful blend of seven synergistic actives that help to normalise oil production on the skin, minimise redness, improve the appearance of skin imperfections, and stimulate collagen and elastin production. Salicylic Acid and Lipohydroxy Acid are two of the hero actives that penetrate into the skin slowly and deeply to unclog the pores and leave the skin clearer and brighter. I struggle with redness and inflamation on my skin and I definitely noticed a difference when using this serum. It’s wonderfully soothing and even has a slight slight mattifying effect, helping to minimise any shine on the face.

The Optiphi Clarity Serum is available at selected Optiphi skin clinics, doctors’ rooms and spas at a recommended price of R545.00 (15ml).

2. Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Everyday Perfection Bouncy Makeup

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Everyday Perfection Bouncy Makeup
This 2-in-1 wonder combines powder and cream to give you a foundation with a real difference. The bouncy gel-like texture helps to create a flawless, natural-finish that will last for hours. What’s more, the product is enriched with all sorts of good-for-you ingredients that will help to treat your skin while you wear it. Enriched with caffeine, ginseng and peppermint oil, this foundation is said to help wake up tired, dull skin and instantly perfect any imperfections to make you look like you’re well rested. Other key ingredients include Hylauronic Acid, Apple, Watermelon and Lentil Extracts, which all work together to help hydrate and smooth the cheeks, as well as Ceramides, Vitamins C, D, E, and Mushroom Extract to help minimise the look of fine lines and wrinkles while giving the skin a firmer appearance. I love this super light-weight foundation because it gives amazing light, natural-looking coverage that really does look like your own skin. This is a great product for those who don’t want to look like their wearing makeup. The texture is also super innovative and unlike any other foundation I’ve tried before and while it feels a little like gel or putty to the touch, the product feels like an ultra-smooth, velvety powder when applied. Light and compact, the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish foundation is perfect for ladies on-the-go, while you won’t really need to touch up this makeup for at least 8 hours it does come with a handy sponge applicator that is brilliant for oil blotting and touch ups during the day. Plus, with 14 shades available in this range you’re bound to find a colour that works for you.

3. Marc Anthony Refreshing Coconut Clear Dry Shampoo

Marc Anthony Refreshing Coconut Clear Dry Shampoo
I love the range of dry shampoos from March Anthony and this refreshing coconut dry shampoo is quickly becoming one of my favourites of the range! The light, fresh coconut scent is divine and helps to mask any unwanted odours on the hair, making it smell like you’ve just washed it. Besides smelling great, it’s also an excellent dry shampoo and works to absorb oil and sweat in no time at all, leaving you with soft, clean looking hair without any white residue. With its clear formula, this is nothing like your typical powdery dry shampoo, you can spray it all over dark roots without looking like you stuck your head in the fire place. The product also has great volumising properties and unlike a lot of other dry shampoos, it won’t leave your hair limp and flat, making it ideal to restore volume to a blowout if you don’t have time to wash your hair. Free from Sulfates, SLS, Parabens, and Phthalates, this dry shampoo is a winner of note in my books.
