Edgars Announces the Launch of Edgars Home
Following some tough financial times, EDCON is cleaning house and shaking things up with a new outlook on its flagship brand, Edgars. Earlier this year, the group bid farewell to homeware stalwart Boardmans and while many saw it as a possible exit from the homeware sector, the brands closing made way for a new exciting venture in the market, Edgars Home.
Foodies and home enthusiasts will be delighted to hear about Edgars Home’s offerings — an entire homewear collection! Carefully curated and created for the South African consumer, the Edgars Home range boasts a variety of both local and international brands such as the luxurious Hotel Collection; the funky Private Collection and exclusives like Tefal, Jamie Oliver and Noritake.
At the new store, shoppers will be able to find everything they need to decorate their home including linen and bedding for the bedroom, plush towels and bath mats for the bathroom, curtains, accessories, lighting solutions and cushions for the lounge, and dinnerware, crockery, cutlery and table linen for the dining room.
The launch of this homeware range brings with it a fresh look in stores, with the first Edgars Home stores set to launch on 26 October. By November, there will be a host of new format stores in big locations like Sandton City, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Canal Walk and La Lucia Mall.
