If you live in the Western Cape and have not yet heard of BOSJES Farm, then you’re missing out. One of the Western Cape’s must-visit spots, BOSJES, has become popular for its quirky, modern architecture and decor as well as its chic, country atmosphere. The fledgling estate has been open for just over a year but before its official opening, Bosjes has already established itself as one of the Western Cape’s most beautiful and unmissable luxury destinations. An hour out of Cape Town, BOSJES is indeed a destination of note and now, they’re tempting guests even further with the introduction of a new range of estate wines created especially for BOSJES visitors.
The family-owned BOSJES Farm located beneath the Waaihoek Mountains in the Cape, has become a landmark of South African heritage, style, and celebration and this new range of wines has been created in honour of these values. Local pride runs in the veins of BOSJES Farm and thus Cape Wine Master, Allan Mullins has created six totally unique house wines for the BOSJES range.
First up, the BOSJES House Red is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend that incorporates Shiraz, Pinotage and Merlot, while the BOSJES House White is created with a foundation of Chenin Blanc with rich melon and peach flavours. Alongside these special wines, the range boasts four single-cultivar wines that showcase the high quality flavours and diversity of winemaking in the valley: a Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon.
If you’re eager to try the new wines you’ll have to visit the farm to do it as the BOSJES Farm wine range is only available at the stunning country-style BOSJES Kombuis. Pop into the estate for the day and treat yourself to lunch and a bottle of BOSJES wine while enjoying the picturesque valley surroundings.
The BOSJES Farm wines are priced from R90 to R150 per 750ml bottle and are also available by the glass for between R25 and R40 at BOSJES Kombuis. For more information visit the BOSJES wesbite.
