Crumbs & Cream Ice Cream Sandwiches Come to Claremont!
We’re in love with Crumbs & Cream ice cream sandwiches, so in love that we’re willing to drive all the way to Sea Point or the V&A Waterfront just to get a taste of their delicious cookies and ice cream. But, for those living in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, the drive is about to get just a little bit shorter. Yup, just in time for the upcoming school holidays, Crumbs & Cream has arrived in Claremont (eep!) Here are all the details on their newest spot.
The only store of its kind in Cape Town, Crumbs & Cream is well known for their freshly baked cookies, filled with delicious gelato and your choice of a selection of delectable toppings. It’s the perfect pick-me-up, and any sweet tooth’s dream! We popped into the Sea Point branch when it first opened and absolutely loved the goodies on offer. One of the coolest things about Crumbs & Cream is that you get to create your own cookie with a wide range of cookie and gelato flavours available as well as a selection of toppings to finish it off.
The process is quite simple – first pick your cookies (choose from flavours such as Red Velvet, Chocolate Brownie and Rainbow), add a spread to your order (think Nutella and peanut butter), then pick your ice cream flavour (delights like Choc Mint, Ferrero Rocher, Wild Berry, Snickers, and more await), and finally select a topping (there’s cookie crumbs, mini smarties, chocolate shavings, and more). And, as of this week, those looking for a sweet Crumbs & Cream treat in the southern suburbs, can simply head to Claremont because the much-loved ice cream and cookie store has just opened a pop-up cart at Cavendish Square Shopping Centre! Located on the lower ground level, in the same corridor as Pick n Pay and @Home, the cart is serving up all your favourite cookie and ice cream flavours, until the end of October, and possibly even longer! So, if you want it to stay it’s time get supporting. So far, the opening has been warmly welcomed by all those in the southern suburbs, and the new cart is cute as a button.
A basic Crumbs & Cream ice-cream sarmie will set you back R35, more if you want to add toppings and a spread. The cart at Cavendish Square will be trading from Monday – Saturday from 09:00 – 19:00 and Sundays from 09:00 – 17:00. For those who don’t live near Claremont, fear not, Crumbs & Cream have even more pop-up stores lined up for this summer.
