Craft Restaurant Now Offers Freak Hot Chocolates of Epic Proportions!
Joburgers, we don’t mean to alarm you but drop what you’re doing and listen up! Craft in Parkhurst, Johannesburg is now serving Freak Hot Chocolates! The oh-so-indulgent hot beverages have arrived just in time for the winter chill in Joburg and we’re quite sure that there’s no better way to warm up this winter. The new addition to the Craft winter menu has taken the Joburg foodie scene by storm and if you haven’t yet tried them then this week is the perfect excuse.
Topped with delightfully over-the-top ingredients (think churros, Nutella-infused whipped cream, and sticky caramel sauce), the Freak Hot Chocolates are basically a drink and a full on dessert in one. Diners can choose between two options – either Loaded Hot Chocolate or Loaded Salted Caramel – and then dig into the best dessert to no doubt ever pass their lips.
So what else goes into making these bad boys? The Loaded Hot Chocolate offers sweet-toothed diners a taste sensation with a chocolate truffle cake topped with thick chocolate and Nutella whipped cream. To top it all off a freshly baked, house made, churro, topped with white -chocolate caramel sauce is added to the mix. The whole concoction is served with a side of churros for those moments when one churro just isn’t enough.
As for the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, this delight is made with a layer of house-made traditional milk tart topped with sweet and sticky salted hot caramel. The whole lot is smothered in Nutella whipped cream and topped with churros drizzled in salted caramel sauce. A delicate salted-caramel disk ends off the spectacular treat and the dish is once again served with a side of churros.
And, how much will all this decadence cost you? The Craft freak hot chocolates will set you back R98 each and are totally worth the splurge. These hot chocolates are the perfect dish to share with a special someone on a date or to enjoy all on your own – because #TreatYoSelf!
