Most of us spend summer living in our comfiest tee and jeans – it’s the uniform of our generation! Which is why we were super excited to hear that Cotton On has re-launched the Cotton On for TBar brand, here in South Africa! If you love graphic t-shirts then the Cotton On stores are going to become your go-to destination this summer as the range for girls and guys is too cool for school.

The thing we love most about the new collection is that Cotton On has collaborated with six talented Australian artists for the launch, each who have created unique wearable art for the TBar Artist Series. And, to bring a little bit of local flair to it all, Cotton On South Africa are also gearing up to work with Pretoria-based illustrator, Karabo Poppy Moletsane who will collaborate with the brand to design a number of prints for the TBar men’s range, which will be available in stores both locally and globally from February 2016.

Karabo, known best for her self-promotional series Mzanzi Like Me and ‘Sho’t Left’ (a Zine on South African Occupations), is a natural fit for the Cotton On brand, bringing a uniquely South African element to the Tbar Artists Series.

“I have always been fascinated by the relationship between fashion and art and see the humble tee as an amazing medium for communicating a message,” says Karabo. “I love that Cotton On celebrates both fashion and art and was ecstatic to be asked to be involved.”

Cotton On for TBar will retail for R199 and is available in Cotton On stores nationwide now.
