Chefs Warehouse to Open at Maison Estate in Franschhoek

Calling all Cape Town foodies – there’s a brand new colab taking place and it couldn’t be more exciting! Franschhoek boutique wine estate, Maison Estate, is joining forces with Chefs Warehouse to create Chefs Warehouse at Maison. This brings Chef Liam Tomlin’s total of eateries to four, after Chefs Warehouse and Canteen on Bree Street, Thali in Gardens and Chefs Warehouse at Beau Constantia.
After Maison’s Kitchen restaurant saw the departure of Chef Arno Janse van Rensburg to open his own eatery, the opportunity for something new presented itself. The joining of Weylandt’s Maison and Tomlin’s brand is an obvious one in terms of collaborative style and design.
With an emphasis on ‘global tapas’ paired with the estate’s wines, Chefs Warehouse at Maison, headed up by young chef David Shneider, promises to be the kind of foodie haven we’ve come to expect from Tomlin’s stable. In addition to the new eatery, Tomlin’s team will also be taking over the Maison Estate deli and homeware shops, as well as the tasting room that showcases Maison’s award-winning wines by winemaker Antwan Bondesio.
The restaurant will be open from December 2017, from Wednesday to Monday for lunch and Wednesday to Saturday for dinner. The tasting room is open 7 days a week. Bookings can be made by phoning Jacobus at Maison on 021 876 2116.
