Celebrate & Learn All About Gin at the G&Tea Winter Weekends
If you’re a craft gin fan and are looking for a quick winter weekend break, you’re invited to a weekend of luxury at The Light House Boutique Suites in Paarl. The boutique hotel has teamed up with local distillery, Wilderer Gin to bring you G&Tea Winter Weekends this chilly season and it sounds like a dream holiday!
The chic boutique guesthouse invites gin lovers to experience a special gin spectacle over a weekend in May, August, or September complete with a demonstration of a live distillation of The Light House’s Fynbos gin. Guests will also be treated to a selection of Wilderer Fynbos gin cocktails over the weekend including winter delights like Pineapple & Curry leaves (gin, fresh curry leaves, and a pineapple wedge, topped off with Indian tonic water), Spiced Apple Warmer (gin, warm apple juice, cinnamon and star anise), and the Hot Gin & Tonic (gin, tonic syrup and boiling water, served with an orange wedge).
Guests will arrive in Paarl on Friday and are welcome to spend the afternoon and evening exploring Paarl’s restaurant scene. The main itinerary starts on Saturday with the gin exploration kicking off with the live distillation experience; three or four different gin cocktails; a full afternoon tea, followed by a light, informal dinner at the Boutique Suites.
The first of the special G&Tea Winter weekends is scheduled to happen from Friday 18 May to Sunday 20 May 2018; followed by additional events from Friday 10 August to Sunday 12 August 2018 as well Friday 21 September to 23 September 2018.
