Blurred Lines: Vans Introduces New Interpretation of Iconic Black & White Check Sneakers

We love these blurred lines! Nothing beats a classic… except maybe, a classic with a great twist! Sneaker vans will be excited to find that Vans’ timeless, most popular pattern, the checkerboard, is back with a modern twist. Featureing four classic sneaker silhouettes in a trick-of-the-eye black-and-white checkerboard print, the new Vans Blur Check Pack line is nostalgia at its best.

Since its inception, the checkerboard slip-on has perfectly captured Vans’ Off the Wall spirit, quickly becoming the iconic face of the brand. To kickoff the new year, Vans has released a new Blur Check Pack line which updates four classic sneaker silhouettes: the Authentic, Slip-on, Sk8-Hi and Old Skool.

The revamp sees the otherwise straight chessboard pattern blurring in some places on the shoe, creating a totally trippy optical illusion using a digitally printed graphic. The remixed look is done using digital printing that shares the illusion of motion from toe to heel. But be warned: these sneakers are sure to cause double takes in the streets!
