The House of Bisquit Cognac 2B Cocktail [Recipe]
Make your week a little more fancy-pants with this delicious cocktail recipe from Bisquit Cognacs! Each year, the House of Bisquit creates a signature cocktail which fans can enjoy at home and this year Loic Rakotomalala, the Global Brand Ambassador for Bisquit Cognac, introduces us to the yummy Bisquit 2B Cocktail. Named after two key ingredients, namely Bisquit Cognac and Basil this sophisticated cocktail is a must-try for cognac fans. “Bisquit Cognacs are well-known for their specific roundness and supple aromas,” explains Rakotomalala. “We always aim to create a crisp, delicious cocktail that preserves the Bisquit Cognac aromas and has very few ingredients so as to allow anyone to be able to make it”.
Founded in 1819, Bisquit Cognac is an authentic French cognac and the well-rounded range of cognacs are renowned for their smoothness and bouquet of distinctive aromas. The V.S (Very Special) Classique used in this recupe is defined by its softness and freshness, revealing a bouquet of fruity aromas (pear and plum) with deeper notes of vanilla, cinnamon and oak. It is made primarily with eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois area. Beautifully balanced, generous and full in the mouth, this superb Cognac is best served neat but you can also enjoy it in the refreshing 2B cocktail!
Bisquit 2B Cocktail Recipe:
Pour 50ml Bisquit V.S or V.S.O.P into a cocktailshaker.
Add 25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice, 20ml sugar cane syrup and 6 crushed Basil leaves.
Shake and strain into a glass filled with ice cubes.
Garnish with a Basil leaf.
Add 30ml of sparkling water, if preferred.
Top Tip: Use bigger ice cubes as this will keep the cocktail cold without adding too much water.
