Beauty Megastore, ARC Opens its Doors at Cavendish Square
South African beauty lovers have been waiting for ages for the likes of international beauty stores like Sephora to open in South Africa. But while Sephora South Africa may not be on the cards any time soon, we’ve got the next best thing! Beauty lovers rejoice, because beauty megastore, Arc has just added another physical store to its stable of one-stop-beauty-shops. The latest addition, Arc Cavendish Square, is the brand’s seventh physical store and brings the beauty destination to beauty queens in the heart of the southern suburbs of Cape Town.
A true beauty wonderland, you’ll find 430sqm filled to the brim with 100+ of the best global and local beauty brands available. The store’s opening weekend included treats, spot prizes and some serious beauty spoils for those who visited the store. Arc stores aim to become a go-to for beauty fans and newbies alike and this latest Cape Town store joins the likes of the recently opened V&A Waterfront store as well as the Tygervalley Shopping Centre store.
After launching its e-commerce store in April 2021, the brand continues to stay ahead of the curve in terms of product offerings and new store openings. The store beauty brands previously not available in South Africa as well as a host of other must-have beauty and skincare brands including fan favourites Chanel, La Mer, Dermalogica, Benefit and Guerlain, as well as Skoon, LeLive and Skin Creamery.
Arc is also home to a growing list of exclusive brands. Arc recently launched the most-followed beauty brand in the world; Huda Beauty, Wishful Skincare and Kayali fragrances into the country as the official stockist, and we’ve been informed that more exclusive launches will follow in the coming months. The store also offers cult-followed favourites like Foreo, Beauty Blender and the collectable Atelier Versace and Van Cleef & Arpels collections.
What makes Arc different?
Stepping into Arc for the first time, you will be reminded of international beauty stores and the store has a luxury European department store feel to it. The store takes the old-school beauty counter approach and turns it on its head. While you won’t see your typical beauty consultant from the department store era, Arc’s in-store crew do offering exceptional service and expertise and the store’s team of ‘Architects’, include makeup artists, skin specialists, and fragrance consultants, who are on hand to help you, if you want, as an added support to their self-service approach. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and most importantly – knowledgeable.
Customers can also look forward to dedicated areas within the space for all their self-care needs. Browse the extensive collection of skincare products in The Sanctuary, which offers a welcoming space for guests to find and develop their unique skincare routine, book a Dermalogica face mapping session for an accurate skincare analysis, or enjoy a treatment in the privacy of The Pod. Get creative at The Lab, an interactive space for testing newly-launched products, expert-hosted masterclasses or perfecting your new look.

Get rewarded
What’s more, Arc has recently announced a number of rewards and other benefits for customers. Arc says it is serious about rewarding customers by ensuring buying luxury beauty and investing in self-care is that much easier.
The brand offers a buy-now-pay-later payment option with Payflex and has also strategically partnered with Clicks Clubcard, allowing ClubCard members to earn up to 10% CashBack on their first purchase. In August of this year, ARC cemented further rewards for their customers with a much-anticipated partnership with FNB eBucks. FNB customers can earn up to 30% in eBucks every time they shop at ARC.
