Call me crazy but I don’t wear foundation every day. I’m lucky enough to work from home and I don’t really have any colleagues to impress… Just my dog but he has really low standards. I’m happy to brave basic admin excursions like trips to the grocery store and popping to the bank without putting on a full face of makeup. Of course, specials occasions and nights out on the town do call for a little extra effort and when it comes to making an effort I love to head out with flawless looking skin. But even then I don’t reach for a full coverage foundation, they just scream; ‘heavy’ to me. I’m usually more of a tinted moisturiser kind of gal because the lighter the better! But recently I’ve fallen in love with the AVON True Colour Flawless Liquid Foundation, a barely-there full coverage foundation that has changed the way I think about full coverage makeup.

This new foundation from Avon was developed to offer busy women a full coverage formula that perfects the skin, giving it a flawless, invisible looking finish without the heavy, cakey feeling that you get from many other full coverage formulas on the market. The genius in this product is all in the technology — the product is ultra-light and invisible in its appearance thanks to the Invisiblend Technology which makes use of skin matching pigments that soften light from every angle, making the foundation appear almost invisible and natural.

I have been using this new Avon foundation for a few weeks now and it is truly impressive. It feels so light on the skin that you almost forget you’re wearing foundation and applying it is an absolute dream. The creamy, liquid formula spreads onto skin like silk and almost melts into the skin making it look like that flawless complexion is all you, virtually make-up free. I also love how long-lasting the product is – you can go hours without needing any touch-ups (like 8-hours long!) so there’s no need to lug your foundation with you in your handbag.

What’s more, the formulation also contains an SPF 15, to protect the skin from harmful UV rays, and is oil-free so it won’t make you light up like a Christmas tree later in the day. I also found the formula of the Avon True Colour Flawless Liquid Foundation to be quite moisturising, especially in winter. I struggle with dry, often flaky, skin in winter and this foundation does wonders to help keep my skin feeling hydrated and looking flawless (no flakes in sight). The great thing about this foundation is that it’s ideal for a wide variety of skin types – whether you have blemishes, pigmentation, redness, or dry, sensitive skin, you’ll love the light-weight full coverage you get from this foundation.
