A Huge Artisanal Cheese Fair is Coming to Cape Town!
You know what they say; “money doesn’t buy happiness, but it can buy cheese, and that’s pretty much the same thing!” If you’re as obsessed with cheese as we are then get excited because there’s an artisanal cheese festival coming to Cape Town and it’s bound to make all your cheese dreams come true. After two successful years showcasing the very best in artisanal cheese, the Say Cheese! Artisanal Cheese Fair returns in October for a cheesy affair that’s not to be missed.
Taking place at the Italian Club in Milnerton, on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October, the third annual Say Cheese! festival unites small, artisan cheese makers, brewers, and bakers for a weekend of fun and the best fromage in the city. Pop into the festival on one or both days and take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet cheese makers, taste a variety of local and imported cheeses, and view demonstrations by local foodies.
But Say Cheese! isn’t just about the cheese; visitors can also expect a variety of delicious accompaniments like olives, freshly baked breads, charcuterie, preserves and wines to sip and sample at the event. Once you’re all cheesed out, you can check out the wide selection of food stalls around the venue for a bite to eat or pop into the Italian Club restaurant for a relaxed meal and a drink at the bar.
Say Cheese! Artisanal Cheese Fair will take place from Saturday 6 October to Sunday 7 October. Tickets range from R55 to R95 (kids under 12 free) and are available from Webtickets.
